Founder, Psychotherapist

Nipa desai, LPC, CCTP-II, CCATP

I believe therapy is most beneficial when there is an open, trusting, and non-judgmental relationship between the client and therapist. This may feel overwhelming to find, especially when we are searching for a clinician who understands our experiences beyond thoughts and feelings.

As a South Asian and clinician of color, I understand the complexities of navigating life within the world we live in. I am passionate about supporting BIPOC individuals and adult children of immigrants, including those who identify with the South Asian community, through their journey of healing. Realigning with your values can be confusing, especially as children of immigrants. We are taught specific values that we may or may not align with. We often feel like it’s all or nothing. I hope to help you align with a true and meaningful life. One where you can live non-judgmentally and break intergenerational cycles.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in PA and NJ as with a Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling. I am also a Level 2 Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP-II) and Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP). My experience ranges from working in inpatient settings to outpatient settings both in community mental health serving underserved populations as well as in a private practice setting. I specialize in working with adults presenting with cultural identity issues, complex trauma, anxiety, depression, and psychosis. My approach is holistic, strengths-based, and integrative. I utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Somatic/Mindfulness approaches to tailor treatment to your needs.

Additionally, one of the most important aspects of therapy is finding the right therapist for you. I encourage you to be honest about the therapeutic relationship so I can best support you through your journey.
