A space to Prioritize you
Individual therapy to build a life worth living
Pain and suffering come in many shapes and forms. But so does healing.
-
Many individuals, specifically the BIPOC community, may not have been encouraged to understand and express their emotions. This can lead to unhealthy coping skills, relationships issues, impulsivity, inability to manage uncomfortable emotions, feelings of hopelessness/helplessness, feeling like you are alone in your experiences, etc.
Ultimately, these may result in complex trauma, anxiety, depression, cultural issues, or simply life changes we were not prepared for.
So how do we move forward when we feel alone and misunderstood? When we feel like the odds are against us?
Therapy is a safe space to gain support and process your thoughts and feelings related to anxiety, depression, trauma, etc. You will learn many techniques including coping skills, boundaries, emotion regulation, building your self-esteem/self-worth, interpersonal skills, and mindfulness.

Just like many things in life, there is no one size fits all. Therapy is an individualized treatment based on your experiences and cultural background so you can move towards a values-based life while promoting mindfulness and flexibility.
I hope to teach you skills using a combination of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Somatic/Mindfulness approaches, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). These skills will provide a better understanding of your thoughts, feelings, behaviors and you can cope with them. In turn, these skills create space to shift perspectives of yourself and the world to ultimately live a more mindful and meaningful life.
Together, we can work towards your life goals and prioritize your mental health. Are you ready to take the next step in building a rich and meaningful life?
